National Parks Conservation Association
Lauret a member of the board of directors of the National Parks Conservation Association, which has advocated for the preservation of national parks and historical sites in the U.S. for more than 90 years. She occasionally blogs on wilderness, civil rights, and related topics for the organization’s advocacy efforts.

Lauret serves on the Board of Directors of the nonprofit Terrain Publishing, as well as an editorial board member of Terrain.org, an international, place-based journal publishing literature, art, urban design, and editorials online since 1998. She previously wrote the “A Stone’s Throw” column for the journal.
